Recording Summer Days Part II

Starting the fifth week of work, workdays became...a little bit...boring...(well, after work hours shouldn't count)

BTW, I forgot on 6.23, we celebrated the 25th Anniversary of our manager at a restaurant called "Gold Fish", very delicious food, decent portion =]

July 4th long weekend started!
Went to the Hester Street Fair at Essex and Hester street...very interesting place...tiny, but lively
Buddha tea ice cream + dragon fruit, strawberry ice cream sandwich, misting tent, I <3 my hair shirt, Kimchi dog, Pikachu pet game, lobster roll, blueberry soda, lots of doggies, and pretty ladies...

Hung out with George, Franklin, and Stanley, played Bang! and Race for the Galaxy...

World Cup final match! @ Pizza Uno near 71 Continental...Lobster BLT pizza + wings...Nom nom...
Mango ice tea was good too, though the mint flavor one tasted like...gum =X
For some very strange reason both me and Vince thought Spain was in orange and Netherland was blue...
And I said blue team will win, coz I kinda want to root for Netherland...
Well, blue team did win, but Netherland lost...
WOW for "Kong-fu Kick" and Paul the Octopus!
Spitty joined us during the game. Then we headed to Queens Center Mall, joined Henry...
Oh, oh, and very cool LEGO store =]
Played Japanese poker with Henry, Spitty, Brian and his girlfriend =P
Then home, stopped by 7/11 for free slurpee <3

Fun fighting in the pool (volley ball - AKA floating dice, and football)
Very interesting train system (only the first, second, and last stop charges)

And, very bad end of the day:
MTA subway/bus system became too terrible for weekend/late night riders...
We took the 6 train up, said goodbye to Kevin and Franklin @ 42nd st.
Then stopped at 51st st. planning to transfer to E/M train...
But there were no M trains at weekends/late nights...
And E trains were not running that night...
Fine...we then walked to 59th st. for R train, and Tanner walked to 63st street for F train...wish him good luck...
However, Luck was not on our side...
We met a classic guitarist in R train station, playing beautiful classical music...
We waited almost an hour, saw 3 N trains passed by, and finally got confirmed that there were no R trains at this station
We had no choice but take the N train to Queensboro Plaza, then take the 7 train to Jackson Height/Roosevelt Ave., then R train to Rego Park
Yes, that was the plan, except...it was already 2 in the morning...
So when we got to Queensboro Plaza, we finally decided to take a taxi home instead of waiting forever...
The taxi ride was only 20ish minutes, and cost less than $16...
2:40ish AM, we finally home, exhausted...

Woke up early (around 5:30 AM) because we are going to get on line for free tickets for Shakespeare in the Park...
Yes, we got less than 3 hours of sleep...
But thanks to Jo's mom...she drove us to Central Park =]
We followed the endless line, and when we were about to settle down, the staff told us we have about 0% chances of getting the ticket...
Well, then, me, Vince, Jo, and Bonnie just chilled in Central Park for couple hours, enjoying the sunshine and fresh air...
Then we called Jo's mom to pick us up...And we hung out in Jo's house, watched Ninja Warrior in black and white...
Only the old style TV could do that...adjusting the hue/saturation...amazing =P
Then back to 71st Continental to watch Despicable Me...>.<...with Vince, Jo, Bonnie, Brian, and Kevin (not Sister Thailand)
After the movie, Boston Market for lunch~
Then home and nap...aww...nice 2-hour nap <3
Woke up around 7ish PM, headed to Flushing for Joe's Shanghai's soup dumplings...nom nom...cheap and tasty crab soup dumplings~
With the movie group plus Kevin the Sister Thailand, and Shu joined later...
Bubble tea after dinner, chill, and home~

Thunder storm in early morning! What a wake up call...
The sky above Tarrytown was layered in different scales of grayish...grayish purple, grayish green, grayish blue, etc.
It was fun to run in such a heavy rain...and it was fun to walk down the hall and found people watching the storm by the window with hot coffee in their hands...
After work Flushing for free food =P

Yes, again, I always have a feeling that she didn't finish the whole song by the time it was released as Bleach OP...In the full version, the first 1min is identical to the OP and the bridge and solo just sound weird and unconnected to me...
But after listening to this song over and over again...well, that might be her style...who knows...=P
And on NYC craigslist there was one post of free RACCOON...that's so cool!

Thanks Eric for driving us (Kara, Steph, and Evan) down to the city...or else we will be stuck in Tarrytown till 5:40ish...and will not be able to go back to city around 6...
And it was a fun trip...Apparently Evan is only few days older than me (Nov. 15th) and Kara is 90'...so young...
Saw a car accident on the way back (thank God it was on the opposite direction...poor cars were stuck there for hours)
The car was turned vertically on its side, and there were people in it...but by the look of the kid (or teen) in the car, they were not injured (or at least not too bad)
